Get to know this 3.0-mile out-and-back trail near Salt Lake City, Utah. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 40 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

This hike has lovely flowers in the spring and striking leaves in the fall. There is parking available at the bend in the road where the trail picks up. Mountain bikers are common on this trail as well. There is a bridge about halfway through that goes over a small stream. It is usually dry by early summer. It isn't unusual to spot deer or humming birds.
