Notes
Access Information: Trails in the Mill Creek Canyon are closed to bikes on odd-numbered days. Dogs are allowed year-round, but must be leashed on even-numbered days. Dogs can be off leash on odd-numbered days. The Grandeur Peak East Trail takes you to the summit of Grandeur Peak, beginning at the Church Fork Trailhead. You'll start your journey at the end of the Church Fork picnic area’s road. If the picnic area is closed for the season, you'll need to walk along the picnic area road for a short distance to get to the trailhead. This route is especially great as a sunrise hike. The trail begins to get rocky the closer you get to the summit. You'll eventually be above treeline, enjoying the incredible views. During the winter months, hikers suggest having microspikes, crampons, or snowshoes to complete this hike.
