Notes
This trail is also known as Willow Heights Trail. It is a great family friendly hike that takes you to a pond that is perfect for picnicking. Many locals love this route as a favorite sunset hike. This figure-eight shaped loop is mostly well-marked. However, some areas are criss-crossed with social trails. It is a good idea to download your offline map ahead of time to avoid getting off trail. Because this trail lies within a protected watershed, dogs and swimming are not permitted at the pond. This route is known for gorgeous aspen foliage in the fall and for frequent Moose sightings at the pond. The pond is also frequented by many species of ducks and other waterbirds. It is important to keep wildlife wild. Avoid approaching or feeding wildlife. Feeding wildlife can damage the health of an animal and change its behavior in ways that may be harmful to the animal itself and to humans.
