Get to know this 4.8-mile out-and-back trail near Sandy, Utah. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

Bells Canyon Trail is a short and challenging hike in the Wasatch Mountains. Starting from the parking lot, you will first reach the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir. Continuing through the canyon from here, the hike is rocky and steep. This route terminates at the lower falls which is a great spot for a break after the quick elevation gain. There are great views throughout the hike of the surrounding canyon and cityscapes below. Since this trail lies within a protected watershed, dogs and swimming are not permitted in the area.
