Experience this 7.8-mile out-and-back trail near Grantsville, Utah. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 6 h 3 min to complete. This is a very popular area for cross-country skiing, hiking, and horseback riding, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

This route takes you to the summit of Deseret Peak along the Mill Fork, via the Mill Fork Canyon. The road to the Loop Campground and the trailhead for this route is open seasonally, typically May through October. The road closes during the winter months for snowy conditions and re-opens in the spring when snow is cleared. Road opening and closing dates depend on conditions.
